VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

Camp VolunteersWe are looking for volunteers to support our campers. 

Volunteers should be at least 16-years old.  Training and support are provided.  Since 1:1 support of our campers is the cornerstone of our camp model and ensures the safety of our campers, we ask that all volunteers be comfortable swimming, running, jumping, and keeping up with our active campers. 

Volunteer opportunities include:

Summer Camp

A full-week commitment from 8 am – 4 pm.

Transportation provided from the West County area.

Fun Days

A one-day commitment from 8 am – 4pm.

Transportation provided from the West County area.

Winter Break Camp

Single-day commitments from 9 am – 3 pm.

This camp takes place in Webster Groves.  Transportation is not provided.

Workdays & Event Support

 An opportunity to work "behind the scenes" at Camp Circle Star.

CAMP CIRCLE STAR PROVIDES:

1:1 Support for All Campers

Camp Size Limited to 14 Campers Per Week

A Flexible and Camper-Driven Schedule

Camp Circle Star is situated on 22 beautiful acres and boasts a lake, swimming pool, hiking trails, playground, and 4000 square foot camp house with developmentally appropriate themed room...all guaranteeing endless fun!

We believe that meeting a camper where he/she is developmentally and modifying the environment to foster their success results in an amazing camp experience.

While at camp, Fieldwork students are given the opportunity to support campers with a variety of diagnoses and cognitive levels.  Students will have endless opportunities to address the following areas:  recreation, fine and gross motor skills, sensory skills, feeding, ADLs and cognition. Students are supported by our experienced camp staff and a dedicated supervisor.

Transportation to and from camp is provided from a central location near Manchester and I-270.
